Crystal Palace, along with Middlesborough and West Brom, are interested in signing midfielder Cheick Tiote from relegated Newcastle United, according to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail.
A mini-exodus is expected from St James’ Park in the summer after the club got relegated from the Premier League and it looks like three top-flight sides are battling to take the 29-year-old Ivorian.
According to the report, Newcastle are looking to get around £4million for Tiote, a reduced price because he is entering the final year of his contract in the North East.

Palace may have a slight advantage over Albion and Boro as the attraction of living in the London area may appeal to the midfielder although if he feels settled in the North East, it could be Boro who he chooses to join.
Tiote came close to leaving Newcastle in the winter transfer window with reported interest from China and Turkey, but the club chose to keep in for a relegation battle, one which they ultimately lost.
