Newcastle United and England winger Andros Townsend could make a move to Crystal Palace in the summer if the Magpies are relegated, according to a report in the South London Press.
The 24-year-old joined Newcastle in January for a free of around £10million after being frozen out at Tottenham.
He made the move in order to get regular football in a bid to make England’s Euro 2016 squad, but it now appears that he won’t be one of the 23 men Roy Hodgson takes to France anyway.

If Newcastle are relegated, they will probably have to sell some of their biggest earners as it has been suggested that they didn’t put relegation clauses in their contracts so Palace might be able to get the winger for a relatively small fee as the North East side look to balance the books.
Townsend was a target for Palace in January but a move could now be on the cards this summer.
