Newcastle have joined the chase to capture the signing of Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair. Struggling Swansea City have already made an offer, according to a report from the Mail Online.
Scott Sinclair has appeared 16 times for Villa, only scoring twice with both coming against Sunderland. However, it now looks like the 26-year-old winger is to leave the club and look for top-flight football elsewhere.
Swansea were first to take interest in their former winger near the start of the transfer window. Sinclair played for the Swans between 2010 and 2012 and was involved in some breath-taking football. Sinclair made 91 appearances and 36 goals in all competitions, before sealing a lucrative move to Manchester City where his career met a stonewall.

According to previous reports in The Guardian, they are set to give up on the signing of Andros Townsend. Tottenham Hotspur have told the club they must produce a sum of £14 million for the out of favour midfielder, but McClaren is firm on the original offer of £10.5 million.
