It is Sky Sports official everyone. Newcastle United have opened talks with Jonjo Shelvey. A move is destined for the former Swansea fan favourite, especially since a bust up with the Swans fans after the 3-2 loss away at Oxford.
The move has been discussed in the media for over a week but Sky Sources believe Newcastle United have now opened talks with Shelvey.
The 23-year-old England international has struggled to make it into the South Wales side since October, starting just 3 times.
The rumoured fee for Shelvey’s services would be around £10-million, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are both said to be interested.
Curtis told the media about Shelvey’s current attitude;
We all know his ability, everybody can see it. His last game he was disappointing and he is far better than that. I’ve tried to speak to him and his attitude has always been in question, but he just wants to play and he gets frustrated if he is not in the team. If he is in the team he is not a problem at all, if he is not in the team he can be a bit more difficult to manage. He doesn’t come to you, you pull him in and find out when he is thinking about.
