Player Ratings: Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

Steve McClaren’s out-of-form Newcastle side learned the same lesson as they have in the last two weeks – if you don’t put away your chances, you will lose.

After two 1-0 losses against Everton and West Brom, the Magpies took on high-flying Arsenal and actually gave a good account of themselves.

However, the failure to score their chances meant that the experienced Gunners narrowly won 1-0 through a goal from Laurent Koscielny.
