Newcastle United are considering a £10million bid for CSKA Moscow playmaker Alan Dzagoev, according to James Nursey of The Mirror.
Steve McClaren is keen to make additions to his squad as he looks to keep the Magpies in the Premier League, and it appears that he has identified the 25-year-old as a possible target as attention turns to the January transfer window.
The Russian international has been a mainstay in the CSKA side since battling back from injury and he is a main reason as to why they top the table at the winter break.

Comfortable playing in a deeper role or as an attacking midfielder, Dzagoev would provide McClaren with options in the spine of his team, and would bring some vital experience to the side.
According to Nursey, Manchester-based lawyer Saide Moussallati is looking to get the Russian a move to England as Newcastle aren’t the only side interested in him.
