Yet again, missed chances from the Magpies made them rue the result of the match. A last-gasp winner from Tom Cleverley meant that Everton ran away as 1-0 winners.
United deserved much more than this, especially considering their determined, gutsy performance. With that result, they now sit in 18th place – the relegation zone.
