In Steve McClaren’s first ever Boxing Day fixture as Newcastle United head coach, Everton will travel to St. James’ Park to clash heads with the Magpies.
Both teams have contrasting forms – Newcastle have acquired seven points from a total of nine in their last three games, whereas the Toffees haven’t won any of their last three.
Papiss Cisse has been ruled out of the fixture, but other than that, there are no new injury doubts for McClaren to worry about. Rolando Aarons and Jamaal Lascelles could return to the side, but it’s unlikely.
With that being said, here’s our Predicted XI for the game. The formation is a 4-4-1-1.
