With just three wins all season, Newcastle United are in desperate need of reinforcements in January to improve their chances of beating the drop this season.
After spending £50million in the most recent transfer window, Steve McClaren promised more investment in the next two windows – with reports suggesting that the Magpies had another £100million available.
However, fresh reports have since surfaced denying McClaren’s claims, stating that Newcastle will only spend in January if they are prepared to offload players first.
