With just three wins all season, Newcastle United are in desperate need of reinforcements in January to improve their chances of beating the drop this season.
After spending £50million in the most recent transfer window, Steve McClaren promised more investment in the next two windows – with reports suggesting that the Magpies had another £100million available.
However, fresh reports have since surfaced denying McClaren’s claims, stating that Newcastle will only spend in January if they are prepared to offload players first.
Regardless of how the funds are generated, Newcastle need to spend, but what can we expect? Here’s my prediction for the January transfer window (incomings):
