Newcastle midfielder Jack Colback insists that the current squad is the best he has played with, despite their recent poor vein of form.
The former Sunderland man returned from injury last week, and he featured in the dire 5-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Magpies are in the midst of a relegation battle, having won just two of their opening 14 games in the Premier League this season.
But, in spite of this, Colback has rallied behind his fellow teammates and insists that they can turn this diabolical season around (quotes from the Daily Star).

We have shown we are a good team on our day and in terms of talent, it is probably the best group I have been involved with.
The Geordie-born midfielder, who joined on a free transfer last year, also questioned the mentality of the side.
The mentality has been spoken about a lot and I think it is quite glaring to see that when we go behind, we look defeated at the moment as a team.
Next up for Colback and his under-fire teammates is Liverpool at St. James’ Park on Sunday, and any sort of result from that game looks a distant possibility.
