# Twitter Reacts: Newcastle slump to 5-1 defeat at Selhurst

A week of ‘feisty’ training sessions actually led to a worse performance than last week’s dismal 3-0 defeat to Leicester, as Steve McClaren’s Newcastle ensemble were thrashed 5-1 by Crystal Palace.

Disgruntled fans are now eager for the club to take serious action, amid fears of an inevitable drop to the Championship.

As you can probably guess, the Geordie faithful were not happy with the performance. Here are a select few tweets that sum up their aggrievance.

Another bleak day for all Newcastle fans, it seems. Next up, it’s the high-flying duo of Tottenham and Liverpool.
