A week of ‘feisty’ training sessions actually led to a worse performance than last week’s dismal 3-0 defeat to Leicester, as Steve McClaren’s Newcastle ensemble were thrashed 5-1 by Crystal Palace.
Disgruntled fans are now eager for the club to take serious action, amid fears of an inevitable drop to the Championship.
