With dreadful results piling the pressure on Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren, the former England manager has vowed to stay at the club – no matter what happens.
Since arriving in the summer, McClaren has certainly not enjoyed a fruitful start to life on Tyneside.
The Magpies have won only two games this season, and a series of shambolic displays on the field has resulted in divided opinion amongst the fans.
Next up for McClaren and his struggling ensemble is an away game to Crystal Palace, where they’ll meet the infamous former Newcastle manager, Alan Pardew.

When asked about any sort of desire to quit his job, McClaren said the following:
No, no. Absolutely, I knew this was tough. We all did.
It’s about turning it around and it’s a long process. And a painful one at times.
Furthermore, he went on to criticise last week’s capitulation to Leicester City yet again:
I don’t like watching my teams performing like they did last week. That was painful to watch.
With harrowing games against the high-flying duo of Tottenham and Liverpool on the horizon, many feel that the Crystal Palace clash holds vital importance.
McClaren and company will desperately want to avoid defeat this weekend!
