The Newcastle brains trust, Graham Carr, Lee Charnley and Steve McClaren have met to map out their plans for the next two transfer windows. It is being reported that Chief Scout Graham Carr returned to Newcastle in order to take part in the meeting.
Steve McClaren’s side remain in the relegation zone and need reinforcements to ensure their Premier League status next year. The centre defence is a major concern and Newcastle need to strengthen to stop the leak of goals that is costing points.

It is believed that McClaren is also demanding the services of a winger with Obertan and Gouffran not capable of performing to a decent standard in the Premier League, Aarons injured once more and Florian Thauvin struggling to find his feet.
Newcastle need to bring in Premier League quality players and McClaren is understood to have put forward a strong and convincing presentation detailing the players he wants purchased in the coming two windows.
The goalkeeping situation is also a short-term concern and Newcastle will be hoping to secure the services of a top keeper with Victor Valdes currently being linked with the club.
Having spent over £40 million in the summer, Newcastle are planning to splash out once more and unless things turn around during the winter months they are going to need to spend big.
