Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says that no club has contacted him or his club regarding the availability of goalkeeper Julian Speroni, after he was linked with a move to Newcastle earlier in the week.
The North-East club have a need for a goalkeeper after losing three shot-stoppers with various injuries.
Tim Krul will not play again this season after injuring his knee on international duty, while Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot are also struggling after niggles.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Pardew said that he has had no contact regarding Speroni, or any of his goalkeepers for that matter.
I’ve seen in the paper that my old club Newcastle and others are interested in Speroni, but we’ve had no phone calls or no contact with any other club for our goalies.

The Eagles boss did say that he understands why there’s been talk about his goalkeepers as he has three very good ones in Speroni, Alex McCarthy and Wayne Hennessey.
We are always going to be in the frame for that because we’ve got three great goalies so it’s a real asset for us and one I’d be reluctant to weaken. I’d like to have all three of them here.
When asked if he would understand Speroni wanting to move away due to a lack of game time, Pardew admitted that he sympathises with the Argentine, but he has to put the needs of the club first and that means having three top-class goalkeepers.
It’s difficult for Jules, not for me, because I have the luxury of Jules being ready and able to come into the team. We are blessed at this club to have the goalies we’ve got.
