Newcastle entertained Stoke City today at St. James’ Park looking to bounce back from last week’s 3-0 derby day defeat to Sunderland.
There was one change to the starting XI, with Vurnon Anita replacing the injured Jack Colback.
Newcastle looked the better side for most of the game but failed to convert several chances throughout, mainly because of the stunning heroics of Jack Butland in the Stoke City goal.
