I, for one, have always wanted to know what team Newcastle have beaten the most – as well as what team we’ve lost to the most.
Thanks to Sky Sports, us Newcastle fans now have access to that information.
Interestingly, it is Aston Villa who we possess the best win record against. We’ve beaten the Villans a total of 68 times! Plenty of managers have come to the Toon and gone, but we always seem to do well against the West-Midlands club.
One team Newcastle despise coming up against is Liverpool. We rarely manage to climb to victory when facing the Reds.
We’ve lost to them a total of 76 times and as a matter of fact, we’ve only won 3 of the last 14 meetings against Liverpool.
Newcastle haven’t played the Merseyside club as of yet this season and it’s safe to say that the fans won’t be brimming with confidence when that time comes.
Another team who we haven’t played particularly well against is Tottenham Hotspur. We’re the team that they’ve beaten the most in their history.
Newcastle have fallen to 60 defeats against Tottenham, but in recent years, we’ve started to play better against them – winning 3 of the last 6 meetings.
Overall, I think we’re all looking forward to clashing with Aston Villa. Liverpool and Tottenham, on the other hand, not so much.
