Papiss Cisse has asked teammate Cheick Tiote to help lift a spell that Cisse believes caused his loss of form as per The Mirror.
Cisse is convinced that he was cursed by an opponent when his phenomenal run of goals when he joined the club came to a shuddering halt.

Cisse has struggled for regular goals and general consistency to his play since his first season when he scored that unforgettable strike against Chelsea and he hasn’t hit them heights since. A club insider said, “Papiss is very superstitious and became convinced of a curse.”
Since scoring on the opening day of the season, Cisse is yet to get back on the score sheet and has gone 256 minutes since that goal and has fallen down the pecking order at St James Park with Aleksander Mitrovic making the starting lineup, and in the past few games Mitrovic seems to have developed a partnership with Ayoze Perez to make matters worse for the 30-year-old.

Cisse was linked with a move away for the club in August and is also being linked with a move away in the January transfer window.
It would seem that Tiote’s Voodoo style ritual had absolutely no effect on Cisse at all as he still can’t find the net.
