After an awful run of form, Newcastle finally gave their fans something to shout about in yesterday’s 2-2 draw with reigning champions Chelsea.
Fans were both happy and sad, as the team were 2-0 up for the majority of the game, but let the lead slip in the last quarter of the game. Our Man of the Match went to Kevin Mbabu, who was thrown in at the deep end on his Premier League debut – but that didn’t faze him. He had former Barcelona star Pedro in his back pocket for the whole game!

Young Ayoze Perez put the Magpies 1-0 up after a terrific goal. He was so calm and collected in tucking this one away!

Gini Wijnaldum netted his 2nd goal of the season, and extended our lead to 2-0 in the process! What a header!

The Toon gave their all in trying to hold out for the three points. Ramires clawed Chelsea back into it, with this unstoppable strike.

The Toon faithful’s hearts were soon shattered as a lucky Willian free-kick found itself in the back of the net, making it 2-2.
