After serving his three-match suspension, Mitrovic will possibly be one of the first names on the team sheet on Saturday as Newcastle welcome Champions Chelsea to St James Park.
McClaren has been pleased with the response from Mitrovic in training and will likely add him into the starting lineup given the injuries to Cisse and Riviere.

McClaren also believes the Mitrovic has what it takes to succeed at Newcastle and will now hopefully settle down after seeing himself booked three times and a sending off in just six matches.
Mitrovic came under heavy criticism after his sending off that he was a liability to the team but with Newcastle’s below par performances since he was suspended, the whole squad has come under fire including McClaren.
When asked about Mitrovic McClaren added “He has showed enough spirit, fight and will to win. Probably overly! He’s demonstrated that and he’s showed that in training. We expect high things of him.”

“There’s been a lot of criticism of players coming in but this is the Premier League, and they have time to adjust. It takes time.”
Mitro will come back in on Saturday.
Hopefully bringing Mitrovic back in will be enough of a boost for Newcastle to possibly get a result against Chelsea.
