Newcastle slumped to their fourth defeat of the season today as Odion Ighalo’s brace guided Watford to victory.
Daryl Janmaat’s strike midway through the second half gave the Geordie faithful a glimmer of hope, but this soon faded as they watched a combination of cramp and a groin strain keep the Dutchman out of the remainder of the game. His team-mates were unable to replicate his impact and the game finished 2-1 to Watford.
