# Newcastle player origins: Where did they come from?

Recently, Newcastle announced their 25-man squad for the Premier League season. This squad included Summer signings Florian Thauvin and Georginio Wijnaldum, but Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba did not need to be included as they were under 21 years of age. You can view the full squad [here](https://readnewcastle.com/2015/09/03/newcastle-name-25-man-squad/).

We have players from all over Europe in our squad – they all started somewhere and have all played for many different clubs before us. So, I thought why not take a look at the backgrounds of our players.
