Championship side Hull City are said to be willing to pay £4.2m to take Yoan Gouffran off our hands this summer.
According to The Chronicle, Steve Bruce is a big fan of the Frenchman and remains hopeful of signing him before Tuesday’s deadline.

The 29-year-old has lost his place in the side to Florian Thauvin since Steve McClaren took over as manager at the start of the season, and could be forced out to fund more additions.
Gouffran has been one of the more frustrating characters on Tyneside since his reported £1.4m move from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux in January 2013, as he’s only scored 12 goals in 88 appearances during is two-and-a-half year stint at the club.
Steve Bruce and Hull aren’t the only club keen on Gouffran, as fellow Championship sides Derby, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest are all said to be interested in the former France U21 international.
The same report has also state that Newcastle have missed out on the signing of Brazilian-born centre-back Douglas, who’s penned a three-year deal with Trabzonspor.

Douglas played at FC Twente with Steve McClaren and was once poised to join Newcastle on a free transfer before Joe Kinnear pulled the plug on the deal because he didn’t know who he was.
The 27-year-old went on to join Dynamo Moscow and the Toon have kept tabs on the player ever since.
He was always interested in a move to St. James’ Park, but after the club signed Fabricio Coloccini to a new three-year deal his hopes of a move to the North East ended and has since moved on.
