Newcastle have had quite a varied summer in terms of where they have bought their players from. Players have arrived from the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as England, to dispel the myth that Newcastle only sign French players. That was until Newcastle decided to sign Thauvin from Marseille.
Newcastle are reportedly back in the market for another player currently plying his trade in France, Raphael Guerreiro from Ligue 1 outfit Lorient, as per Sport Witness.

The Portuguese under-21 left-back has impressed recently, especially at the Euro’s this summer. He has attracted attention from a number of top clubs across Europe, including Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and AS Monaco, by virtue of his fine performances.
With Lorient fully aware of the interest in their hottest young star, it is very unlikely that Raphaël will come cheaply. He is expected to have a price-tag between €12-15million but Newcastle would be hoping to lower Lorient’s valuation as they will pay the full transfer fee upfront.
