# Another youngster sent out on loan

Succeeding the exit of Adam Armstrong to Coventry City, young goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has signed for Crawley Town on loan.

Newcastle are keen on the 18-year-old gaining vital first-team experience, in order to aid his development, and hope a loan move to the League Two outfit will provide him with that.

Woodman is one of Newcastle’s most promising youngsters and has attracted attention from Arsenal and Southampton over the past few months, after some impressive displays for the under-21s.

This pre-season, Woodman has been training with the senior squad and he was included as part of the squad that traveled to America – for the friendlies against Club Atlas, Sacramento Republic and Portland Timbers II.

Haris Vuckic is yet another Newcastle youngster linked with a summer exit, with reports surfacing stating he will be used as a makeweight in the Charlie Austin deal – with Newcastle unprepared to match QPR’s £15million asking price.
