Following confirmation of Newcastle’s signing of Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum from PSV Eindhoven, we take a pictorial look back over his career so far.
First up, a snap of Georginio in action against Germany at the UEFA European Under-17 Championships in 2007.

Next, a photograph of Wijnaldum playing for his national side in an European Under-21 Championship Qualifying match against Finland. Newcastle’s Tim Krul, Daryl Janmaat and Siem de Jong also feature in this image.

Next in line, Wijnaldum playing for his first club Feyenoord. He made 111 appearances for the Rotterdam based club, scoring 23 times in the process.

Wijnaldum transfered to PSV Eindhoven in 2011, for €5million. He made his debut on the opening day of the 2011/12 season against AZ Alkmaar. Though it was a dream come true for the midfielder, PSV suffered a 3-1 defeat.

After making his debut for the Dutch national side on September 2011, Wijnaldum became a regular in the squad – though he failed to cement his spot in the starting line-up due to the likes of Wesley Sneijder competing for the same spots. Tim Krul is also appears on the far left of this image.
