Newcastle stars Cheick Tiote and Papiss Cisse are being lined up for a shock £14m double-move to Trabzonspor, reports the Express.
The Turkish side have already held talks with Tiote’s representatives regarding a possible move from St. James’ Park this summer, and are now ready to firm up their interest after positive discussions between the two parties.
Now however, they are considering making it a double-move, as they line up Papiss Cisse in the deal as well.
It’s said that Trabzonspor are willing to pay £7.5m for the Ivorian midfielder, but will make that an even £14m if the Senegalese forward can join him in Turkey.
Cisse has 18-months left on his deal at the club, and has recently reiterated his desire to stay put on Tyneside, despite reports saying another Turkish club, Besiktas, are readying a new bid for the 30-year-old.
Ending last season as the cub’s top scorer with 11 goals, it would be a bold move to let go of the enigmatic forward, but if Newcastle can secure Charlie Austin from QPR, I think most fans would be pretty happy.
