Newcastle United are looking to offload Papiss Cisse in a bid to accommodate their new strikers, according to the Daily Mail.
The Magpies’ list of potential strikers is increasing everyday as new manager Steve McClaren seeks to strengthen his squad. In order to make room for new forwards, Newcastle will look to sell Senegalese international Papiss Cisse.
The 30-year-old is thought to be requesting a new contract, worth £4million-a-year, from clubs that hold an interest in him, but it seems most clubs are unwilling to pay that figure which in turn limits his choices.
According to a report published by the Chronicle, Newcastle will be holding out for an eight figure fee for Papiss (£10million) in order to recoup what they paid for him.
Meanwhile, Rangers are looking to make Haris Vuckic’s loan spell at the Ibrox permanent.
The 22-year-old established himself in Scotland and scored a number of goals for Rangers, making him a fan favourite. This has led to the idea of Rangers keeping him on a long-term basis.
The striker is pencilled in to hold talks with McClaren regarding his future and it is understood that the Slovenian is keen on a move to Rangers.
