After a loan spell with Rangers, Slovenian forward Haris Vuckic is now a target for a number of British clubs, according to various news outlets.
Vuckic managed to net nine goals during his spell at the Ibrox, catching the eye of a number of potential suitors – including Norwich, Bournemouth and Watford .
Rangers’ rivals Celtic were reportedly the first to declare an interest in the Newcastle man, but all three newly promoted sides are now apparently interested in acquiring the services of the 22-year-old.
On the other hand, those in the hierarchy at St James’ Park aren’t insistent on Vuckic leaving, and the appointment of new boss Steve McClaren could save Vuckic’s Newcastle career as the former England boss comes in to assess his squad for pre-season with no pre-determined agendas.
Vuckic joined Newcastle in January 2009 for NK Domzale for around £200,000, and is likely to command a fee of around £1,000,000, should Newcastle opt to move him on. He only managed 8 Premier League minutes this season before being sent out on loan.
Meanwhile, the Magpies are hoping to recruit two youngsters to replace Vuckic this summer – with Racing de Santander’s David Concha and Viking FC’s Veton Berisha named as the clubs top young targets.
