Newcastle United have confirmed that the club is still up for sale, according to BBC Sport.
Owner Mike Ashley put the club up for sale in October after 10 years in charge and the club issued a statement saying:
The position has not changed. If or when there is anything to update, the club would do so.
In January, talks of a £250m takeover with businesswoman Amanda Staveley ended courtesy of owner Mike Ashley.

Staveley said:
I’m very much still interested. Our bid remains on the table.
This is an investment, but it has to be a long-term investment. Newcastle would be run as a business, but we want it to be a successful, thriving business that is an absolutely integral part of the city.
Ashley’s decade in charge at Newcastle gone without worrying moments, with the club being relegated twice and regularly having some supporters protesting about the way the businessman has run the club.
Newcastle have also confirmed that the club are having ‘ongoing’ talks with manager Rafael Benitez, over a new deal. The Spaniard has a year left on his current contract.
Benitez guided Newcastle to promotion back to the Premier League and were Championship winners last season. His side are currently in 10th place this season.
