Newcastle United target Oguzhan Ozyakup is reportedly on the verge of agreeing a new contract with Besiktas.
The Turkey international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window as his existing deal nears its expiration.
However, according to Fotomac, Ozyakup is close to agreeing new and improved terms with the Super Lig side, casting doubt over a summer move away.

However, Besiktas could yet lose Ozyakup in the summer, as Fotomac claim that a rather cheap release clause will be inserted in the midfielder’s new contract at the club.
It’s claimed in the report that a release clause worth just €12 million will feature, which is, without doubt, an affordable figure for most Premier League sides.
Newcastle are well-stocked in midfield but appear to be keen on recruiting yet more quality in the summer as Rafa Benitez aims to consolidate his side’s status as a Premier League club.
