Newcastle United are reportedly ready to make a summer swoop for OGC Nice striker Alassane Plea.
The Frenchman has been linked with a number of clubs in recent times with his future at Nice somewhat uncertain. Plea is a key player for Lucien Favre’s side but interest is increasing ahead of the summer transfer window.
Plea has found the net on 13 occasions for Nice so far this season and has also contributed with four assists. It is because of this form, according to Calciomercato, that Newcastle have been tempted into a potential move for the striker.

The 25-year-old has been a pivotal part of Nice’s side in recent seasons and finished last season as the club’s top goal scorer in Ligue 1.
However, Nice will seemingly face a struggle in their bid to retain Plea’s services as Premier League clubs begin to circle. Newcastle are reportedly joined by both Everton and Burnley in their interest in the striker.
