Newcastle have been given an injury boost ahead of this weekend’s crunch tie against Huddersfield Town.
The Magpies currently sit just four points above the relegation zone and will need to rally behind Rafa Benitez in their final eight games to ensure they retain their Premier League status for next season.
With Huddersfield also battling to beat the drop this season, this weekend’s match will be crucial for both clubs, and Newcastle fans will be thrilled to have star Matt Ritchie back in contention.
According to Lee Ryder of the Chronicle, Ritchie returned to training yesterday, having been forced to withdraw from the Scotland squad this week through injury.

The 28-year old winger was an integral part of Benitez’ Championship winning team last season, and remains a key component this season.
