Newcastle United striker Islam Slimani could make a start for Algeria in the international break despite not playing for the Magpies since his loan move in January, as reported by DZ Football, via the Shields Gazette.
The club signed the player despite him having a thigh injury on a loan deal from Leicester City until the end of the season but he is still yet to feature for Newcastle
Slimani joined up with his teammates last week and could be in line to start in tomorrow night’s clash between Algeria and Iran.

The 29-year-old didn’t play in his nation’s first game of the break against Tanzania but is set to be ready to play this one.
As a result, this means that the striker is set to be in line for his first start for Newcastle after a frustrating beginning to his tenure at St James’ Park.
His side face Huddersfield Town this weekend in a must-win encounter in the Premier League.
