Newcastle keen to land Frankfurt star
Newcastle are being linked with an audacious summer swoop for Sebastien Haller, who has been playing well for Eintracht Frankfurt of late.
The 23-year-old is a key man for Niko Kovac’s side and since his move from FC Utrecht, has been leading the line on a regular basis in the Bundesliga.
It’s claimed by German news outlet Bild, as reported by Sport Witness, that the Magpies are taking a liking to Haller and could make a move for him in the summer transfer window.
Haller is a physically-gifted striker and has been in good form for Frankfurt so far this term. From 19 appearances in the Bundesliga, he has found the net on eight occasions and has also chipped in with a total of three assists.
Bild claim that Frankfurt will not welcome offers under €30m, which is certainly an ambitious valuation for the French forward.
Newcastle signed Islam Slimani on loan in January but will surely be looking for other long-term options to lead the line when the summer comes around.
