Newcastle midfielder Mohamed Diame is interested in a move to Championship side Aston Villa.
According to The Mirror, via HITC, Diame is looking for a way out of Newcastle and is keen on the idea of a switch to Aston Villa.
Steve Bruce is the current manager of Villa, who was Diame’s boss at Hull. The report claims that he is tempted by the prospect of reuniting with the English coach.
Diame has failed to break into the Newcastle team this season and could be allowed to leave if the club receive a suitable offer from Villa in January.
The midfielder has played less than 200 minutes of football this season and is looking for more regular game time – in the Championship with Aston Villa.
The Senegal international joined the club in 2016 from Hull and has played 49 times for the club – scoring six goals in that time.
