Newcastle remain open to Staveley talks
Newcastle United are reportedly open to further talks with Amanda Staveley regarding a takeover.
According to the Chronicle Live, the Magpies are not ruling out discussions with Staveley, who is currently the leader of a group based in the Middle East worth in the region of £30 billion.
Staveley was in attendance as Newcastle contested a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Liverpool prior to the recent international break, and is believed to have shown continued interest in purchasing at least a stake in the club.
Whether Staveley would be keen on simply buying a stake or carrying out a full takeover is unknown at this stage, but with Mike Ashley having officially put the club up for sale, potential suitors will undoubtedly be competing for ownership rights.
It’s understood by the Chronicle that Staveley and her group are yet to sign a full non-disclosure agreement, but Newcastle remain “receptive” to more talks with the businesswoman.
