Newcastle set to complete Kenedy deal
Newcastle are set to sign Chelsea winger Kenedy on a season-long loan deal, according to The Mirror.
The report claims that Newcastle are on the verge of securing a deal to sign Kenedy on loan for next season, following a pre-season spat.
Kenedy was dropped from Chelsea’s squad after he was caught up in controversy over his social media posts. He posted two Instagram stories that were deemed offensive and unacceptable, leading to his omission from Antonio Conte’s squad.
He is now set for a move to Newcastle to start fresh and kick on next season in the Premier League. Newcastle won promotion from the Championship last season and are looking to survive at the first time of asking.
Kenedy has played 15 Premier League games for Chelsea. His only goal came against Norwich at Carrow Road in 2016, where he opened the scoring within a minute.
The 21-year-old looks set to be announced as a Newcastle player in the coming days.
