Newcastle remain interested in taking Sheyi Ojo on a season-long loan from Liverpool next season.
According to the Mirror, Newcastle have not been put off by their previous failed efforts to land him and are still pursuing the signing.
Championship side Middlesbrough are also said to be keen, who completed a £10m deal to sign Martin Braithwaite earlier today.
Newcastle are said to have a transfer budget that could stretch up to £100m, with a loan move for Ojo freeing up more funds to spend on other areas of the pitch.
Although, Newcastle are also said to be in talks to sign Norwich City winger Jacob Murphy.
The 22-year-old is thought to be interested in joining Newcastle, but Norwich are demanding £16m for his signature.
Ojo could be a cheaper alternative, if they can iron out a deal with Liverpool to bring him in on loan for next season.
The 20-year-old wants to play regular Premier League football, which Newcastle could offer.
