Steve McClaren has seen fleeting spells of positive results this season, enticing fans into believing Newcastle United had come to a new dawn. It hasn’t been the case. With twenty-four games gone, Newcastle United HAVE to start picking up points, or we’ll be back down in the Championship.
The defeat to Everton left Newcastle United in tatters. Paul Dummett picked up an injury, as did Chancel Mbemba, whilst Jamaal Lascelles saw red late on so will be suspended for the visit of West Brom.
Jack Colback could return, while we expect Steven Taylor will start. If Aleksander Mitrovic doesn’t start then Newcastle United haven’t learnt any lessons from Wednesday.
