The under-pressure Steve McClaren now has more issues to deal with at Newcastle United, as two senior members of his backroom staff have clashed with one another.
According to Craig Hope of the Daily Mail, club consultant Steve Black and fitness coach Alessandro Schoenmaker have not seen eye-to-eye in recent weeks.
Matters have now been made worse for McClaren, who is reportedly under a two-game review, with recent results frustrating key board members.

The well-respected Steve Black – known for developing England rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson – is supposedly getting on Schoenmaker’s nerves by interfering with his strenuous strength and conditioning sessions.
Black feels that the disgruntled players have been made to work too hard in training, and he blames this for the mass amount of injuries present in the Magpies’ squad.
Head coach Steve McClaren has taken his consultant’s advice on board, much to the frustration of his long-term staff member Schoenmaker.

Newcastle currently top the Premier League injury list, with a staggering ten players on their roster currently enduring spells on the sidelines.
This news only adds fuel to the ever-burning fire at Newcastle United. McClaren has now lost control over both his players and his backroom staff.
With Jurgen Klopp’s high-flying Liverpool side up next for the Magpies, it looks like things won’t get better in the near future.
