Tottenham Hotspur have launched a shock last-gasp bid for Newcastle attacker Ayoze Perez, according to Adam Crafton of the Daily Mail.
The London-based team are willing to pay up to £15m for the Spaniard, after becoming growingly frustrated in their pursuit of Saido Berahino. This news comes as a massive shock to all Newcastle fans, as there has been no indication that Perez will leave the club, and no rumours surrounding his future, until now.

Ayoze signed for £2m last Summer from Spanish side CD Tenerife and proved to be one of the bargains of the season last year. He made 37 appearances, scoring 7 goals and has represented national side Spain at U21 level.
It is reported that Spurs have tonight made contact with Newcastle officials about the availability of 22-year old, but Lee Ryder has rubbished these claims, insisting the club have ‘no intention’ of selling Perez.

The Spanish magician was a breath of fresh air during an abysmal season for the club last year.
Perez himself ruled out a move away from the club earlier in June, but with Newcastle’s selling policy, you can never say never to one of our best prospects leaving the club. Many fans would be infuriated if Perez was sold, so let’s hope he stays on Tyneside!
